Hooray for Hildy!

Make way for Hildy! Here she comes sporting one of her whimsical hats! Hildy finds a hat for every occasion. Erika, Hildy’s best friend, has never questioned this keen fashion sense. Unfortunately, not all her friends are as supportive. Sidney slithers her way into each opportunity to humiliate Hildy. Her sly remarks confirm Hildy’s insecurity. Panic sets in when Hildy finds her hat collection missing!

Amidst Hildy’s emotional breakdown, she reveals her secret that lies beneath the hats. Afraid of rejection, Hildy had been hiding three wiry hairs that pop straight out of her head. Erika encourages Hildy to love herself the way she is.

Erika and Hildy create quite a buzz in the village as Hildy displays her true self for the first time. A positive reaction is given by all, except Sidney. When confronted, tears flow as Sidney’s true feelings surface. Hildy learns the root of Sidney’s teasing-jealousy! She discovers that Sidney is also responsible for stealing her hats. Hildy graces Sidney with her forgiveness as a true friend should.

In the end, their group of friends gathers together, each wearing one of Hildy’s hats. Hildy is hatless. Her friends are proud and shout, “Hooray for Hildy!”
